1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Discover Gran Canaria website and all bookings made through it.
By making a booking through our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
2. About Us
Discover Gran Canaria SCP is an independent booking agency and intermediary connecting customers with third-party tour operators, activity providers and transport companies operating in Gran Canaria.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Discover Gran Canaria does not directly operate the activities offered on this website.
The operator responsible for providing the service will be identified on the booking confirmation, voucher or ticket.
3. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only when:
- payment has been successfully received;
- confirmation has been issued by Discover Gran Canaria and/or the activity operator.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process is accurate.
4. Prices and Payments
All prices are displayed in Euros (€) unless otherwise stated.
Many activities require only a deposit payment during the booking process.
Where applicable, any remaining balance must be paid directly to the operator according to the conditions specified for the selected activity.
Prices may change without notice until a booking has been confirmed.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- providing accurate information;
- arriving on time at the meeting point;
- carrying any required documents;
- complying with operator instructions;
- meeting all age, licence, health and participation requirements.
Failure to comply may result in refusal of participation without refund.
6. Health and Safety
Some activities involve physical effort, water-based activities, off-road driving or other inherent risks.
Customers must ensure they are physically able to participate.
The operator reserves the right to refuse participation for safety reasons.
7. Activity Changes
Operators may modify itineraries, schedules, routes, departure points or activity duration due to weather conditions, operational requirements, safety considerations or circumstances beyond their control.
Such modifications do not automatically entitle customers to compensation.
8. Weather Conditions
Many activities depend on sea and weather conditions.
If an operator determines that an activity cannot be operated safely, customers may be offered:
- a new date;
- an alternative activity;
or
- a refund according to the applicable cancellation policy.
The final operational decision always belongs to the operator.
9. Transport Services
Where transport is offered:
- pick-up times are approximate;
- customers must be ready at the agreed location;
- transport may operate from nearby meeting points rather than directly from the accommodation.
Failure to attend the agreed pick-up point may be treated as a no-show.
10. Wildlife Sightings
For dolphin watching, whale watching and wildlife-related activities, sightings cannot be guaranteed unless explicitly stated by the operator.
Wildlife observations depend on natural conditions and animal behaviour.
11. Liability
Discover Gran Canaria acts solely as an intermediary between customers and independent operators.
The operator remains solely responsible for:
- activity delivery;
- equipment and personnel;
- safety procedures;
- insurance coverage;
- operational decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Discover Gran Canaria shall not be liable for accidents, injuries, losses, delays, cancellations or service interruptions arising from services provided by third-party operators.
12. Force Majeure
Neither Discover Gran Canaria nor the operator shall be liable for delays, cancellations or failure to perform obligations resulting from events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- adverse weather;
- natural disasters;
- strikes;
- transport disruptions;
- government restrictions;
- emergencies.
13. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy published on this website.
By completing a booking, customers acknowledge and accept those conditions.
14. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Spain.
Any dispute arising from the use of this website or services booked through it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Spanish courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection legislation.
